Effective Communication

Voter Engagement

Grassroots and Organizing

Once Sarah saw the power of grassroots organizing that was it, there was no going back. People in power ignore the needs of those without it. Women, children, and minorities are regularly taken advantage of, used, and then discarded. It is unacceptable and grassroots is the answer. People coming together to amplify the voices of people who need help and protection is powerful. Sarah loves that every dollar, every volunteer hour, every phone call, can make a difference. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something. Sarah loves helping volunteers and voters figure out how they can help to make change.

Sarah can help you grow your volunteer base and set up a successful grassroots campaign. Sarah can educate your team on key successful components of grassroots campaigns including, canvassing, phone banking, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising.

She can assist in developing trainings for volunteers, powerful messaging, and materials for your campaign.

Sarah has lead several successful grassroots campaigns in Cleveland and in Pittsburgh.

When communicating with both voters and volunteers it is important to utilize effective communication skills. Sarah can help you understand these skills, how to utilize them and how to train your volunteers to use them.

Sarah can help you engage with voters in an efficient and effective way. She can help you develop a script for educating and engaging voters, turning voters into volunteers, and fund raising at the door.

Volunteers

Fundraising

Volunteers are the key to any successful grassroots campaign. Sarah can help you successfully grow, organize, train, and motivate your volunteer base. She can help you ensure that your volunteers feel valued and supported, which will make them more likely to come back to volunteer again.

Sarah can help identify events where you can recruit new volunteers, develop messaging to recruit new volunteers at these events and at the door, and identify volunteers to help build up your volunteer leadership team.

She can also help develop a script for volunteer recruitment phonebanks.

Sarah can help identify the most effective ways for your team to do grassroots fundraising. When thinking about grassroots fundraising it's important to remember the drop in a buck analogy, every dollar adds up. Some people will give more and some people will give less, but it all goes to the cause. Sarah can help you with a door to door ask, fundraising events, and fundraising phone banks.

Grassroots and Social Work

Sarah loves collaborating and helping others grow. She hopes to collaborate with many people throughout her career and help a little or lot along the way.

Sarah wants to work with students and new therapists in discovering how they want to practice. Sarah loves working with seasoned therapists helping them to develop workflows that use less paper, require less time on documentation, while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

Therapists are underpaid and are often expected to work out of the goodness of their hearts. Although many of us do go into therapy because we genuinely care about the people we are working with, that does not mean that we should not be compensated fairly for the services we provide.

Sarah is interested exploring ways that we can work together to push insurance companies to pay fairly for the services we provide.

She also is interested in space sharing and collaborating with other providers in order to decrease the financial burden that can prevent many therapists from starting their own practices.
